March 2026 Update

Did you get caught by Fool's Spring?

March 2026 Update
Our in-house mushroom grow is going great!

Let's just say that this month could have gone better around the co-op:

That said, we do have a big construction update.

Wall off, wall on

Construction schedules are very "hurry up and wait". After a few weeks of nothing happening, the living room's ceiling and wall were removed and then replaced with drywall in just a few days. They're still finishing up some details, but we have a about 9' of gap between the two halves of our new entertaining space.

Workshop wonders

One of our properties has a small workshop, including a full 3D printing setup + a desktop computer for design work. While it does mostly get used for "fun", it's also helpful to be able to do on-demand fabrication. For example, here's some photos of a medication holder to replace one that didn't work any more when a new pharmacy started sending different size vials.

Let us know if you ever need to drop by to work on a small project, and we'll find some bench space for you!

Two open rooms

NOTE: We're looking for ideas about where to advertise our room openings! We're especially interested in reaching people who are interested in intentional communities, or who are trying to relocate to the Boston area.

We are currently conducting interviews for two open rooms. Our priority is to find new members with skills relevant to managing collective housing, and who could see themselves staying for at least several years. If you think this sounds like you or one of your friends, please start a conversation! We'd love to invite you to some events and get to know each other.

Our website's "Housing" page will always have the most up-to-date info on what's available and what we're looking for:

Housing
Come live at one of MALT’s houses!

Please feel free to forward our housing page, or this email, to a friend or to another mailing list. We're especially open to working with people planning to relocate to Massachusetts.

Until next time

That's all for March. If you're in the Boston area like us, we hope you're managing to stay warm!
