July 2026 Update
Getting through summer, one dumpster run at a time
July was a huge project work month for us, and it's hard to state how different our common spaces look after some decluttering, cleaning, and even some new coats of paint. But that means August caught up with us faster than we expected... which means it's time to start thinking about Halloween!
Upcoming events
Our construction project is 95% complete, and our decluttering worked, so we have a lot more free space to make use of. This means we're starting to do a lot of unpacking, as in every Sunday for the next few months! That will gradually transition into kitchen setup, then interior decorating, and then finally into resuming a full social calendar.
For now, we've got a few events lined up:
- August 16th, 7 PM: Private Event: Films @ MALT (O Brother Where Art Thou - Aug 16, Oppenheimer - Aug 30)
- August 30th, 7 PM: Private Event: Films @ MALT (O Brother Where Art Thou - Aug 16, Oppenheimer - Aug 30)
- Saturday, September 12th at 7 PM: Private Event: Charcuterie Party @ MALT
Early warning: we plan to have Halloween events on Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st. We're not quite ready to announce more than that, but you can expect more info to arrive later this month.
Saying farewell
Our housemate Rowan is leaving for some awesome new artistic opportunities. We're sad to see him go, but everyone had a great time with the chance for one last line dance.

I saw the projector glow
We've hosted a lot of movies at MALT but have had to take most of the past year off due to problems with our physical spaces. But we finally completed enough construction that we could ceiling mount our new laser projector and screen (thanks to everyone who helped with that!)
And what better first film choice than I Saw The TV Glow?
Scenes from a movie night
The space is definitely designed with movies in mind, but the community space is intended to be flexible. We'll also be using this equipment for business meetings, as a sound system at parties, amplification for performances, and more.
What's next?
We expect to be pretty busy in August as a few new people get ready to move in, we start using our new community kitchen, and we start planning for fall and winter in New England. Hopefully we'll see you at one of the screenings this month so you can get an early look at the not-quite-finished-yet community space!
