August 2026 Update
Movie magic, Halloween happenings, and available accomodations
Can't believe it's the end of August already! Have you kept up with your own gardening? We're a bit behind, but check out those blackberries!
Upcoming events
Construction keeps hitting snags, so we're still not fully online - but we've done a few test runs with our new home theater setup. We're ramping up our event calendar and plan to add some craft and game nights in future months.
Here's what we've announced for September and October so far:
- Saturday, Sep 12, 7 PM: Private Event: Charcuterie Party @ MALT
- Saturday, Sep 26, 7 PM: Private Event: MALT FilmFeast: Nowhere (1997)
- Saturday, Oct 24, 7 PM: Private Event: Screening @ MALT: Hadestown: The Musical (2026)
The big announcement, though: this year we're hosting DOUBLE HALLOWEEN!!!
- Fri, Oct 30, 8 PM: Mischief Night @ MALT
- Sat, Oct 31, 5 PM: Halloween Potluck @ MALT
On the Friday before Halloween, we're hosting an indoor party with music & a late-night horror film. Then on Saturday, Halloween itself, we'll host a trick-or-treater friendly outdoors event with delicious food. Hope to see you at both!
Departures, arrivals, and openings
Several folks are moving out of MALT, and several others are arriving. This means that we'll be in a bit of flux in September as we figure out all the details.
However, we do know that at least one bedroom will be available starting from October 1st. We've updated the housing page and the application form with more details.

Fall is a great time of year at MALT, especially living this close to a cemetery. It's an odd time to be warming back up to events, but that's just how the construction timeline went! We hope to have some more news on that in September, including the beginnings of how you can request access to host something in our space.
