Black swallowwort, also known as dog strangling vine, has been persistent in our yard at 60 Main Street since we moved here. It spreads very easily via seed pods and the plants can send out long tendrils to wrap around other plants! Digging the root balls up is the best but snapping off whatever you can reach helps too.
